#4 JF Photo Shoot

December 28, 2009

One of the coolest things I was able to do over the past few months was get back together with Jeremy Fenelon, a photographer friend of mine.  You may remember him from the photo shoot I posted about last March.  I was really pretty small then so I held back some but this time I was 7-8 months old so I felt like I could have some fun.  It was a COLD day but the sun was out and the leaves were beautiful which you can see in the pictures if you’re able to stop looking at my cute little face.  Good luck with that though.

You can see some of the best shots below or you can check out even more of them here

#3 New Hat

December 27, 2009

When I was little I had a little blue hat with a turtle on it.  It was cool I guess, for a baby.  But as I grew up it became time to dress a little more grown up.  After all, you have to grow up sometime.  So my parents and I went shopping and we picked out this cool brown hat.  It had been a while since I’d worn one so I decided to give them a little show.  (Of course, I knew what it was on my head…duh.  I was just having a little fun with my parents who obviously got a kick out of it.)

#2 Trogdor the Burninator

December 27, 2009

When I was little I was given a stack of clothes from a garage sale.  There was some really cool stuff in there but my dad was particularly excited about this shirt.  Apparently there is a site called HomeStarRunner.com that features a strange little cartoon called Strongbad Email.  They were a semi-underground sensation a few years back (before my time) and my dad was stoked that we had this awesome shirt featuring one of the Strong Bad characters.

I had to wait until I was 8 months old to wear it because I was too small but once I was big enough, my dad introduced me to Trogdor.  I have to say it’s a little strange.  But I guess so is my dad so it’s all good.  Once I learn to draw an S and a consumate V maybe I’ll try to draw him myself.

In the mean time, check out the video for yourself and let me know what you think.  Awesome or ridiculous?  Or maybe both.

#1 Playing Ball

December 26, 2009

One of my first highlights of the past few months is all of the cool new ways I can play.  A couple of months ago my parents bought me a real, big kid ball.  I even got to pick out the color (but sadly there was no orange).  Since then Ive been working on my dodgeball skills to prepare for the big Jr. High dodgeball tournament in February.  If I’m good enough by then I’m hoping my dad’ll let me play.  Unless of course, he’s afraid I’ll beat him!

As you can see from the video, I’m certainly not afraid to take a hit…but now that I think about it, thats not really going to help me in dodgeball is it?

Ten for Ten

December 24, 2009

I know, I know.  It’s been WAY too long since I last wrote.  There are no good excuses but I’ve got a lot going on.  After all, I’m just a baby and, while I am an incredible writer, I’ve had to learn to sit up, crawl, walk, talk, eat, etc, etc, etc.  Since I’ve missed so much I’ve decided to catch you all up in the next few days.  I officially turn 10 months old tonight just after 10PM so I thought we’ll stick with that theme and I’ll provide 10 highlights from the past three months between now and the new year.  Be on the lookout for great things to come!

I’m 10 MONTHS OLD!  Can you believe it?

Brushing My Teeth

September 16, 2009

This afternoon I was reading along with Elmo when I discovered that my book had a built in tooth brush. How sweet is that? Of course I immediately grabbed it and started brushing away.

Judging by my parents response, I think they assumed I was just shoving something random in my mouth. Not that I blame them, though. After all, that is what I do with pretty much everything else.

Squealing Contest

September 15, 2009

It’s been over a month since this video was taken so my voice may have changed a little bit by now.  Not that I’m a baritone yet or anything.  Either way, I sure amd looking pretty cute.

Jack @ the Mall

August 12, 2009

On our trip down to St. Louis we stopped off at the Chesterfield Mall, a bastion of retail bliss.  We didn’t actually buy much, mind you.  We pretty much just walked around looking at stuff.  Kinda mind numbing if you ask me.  If only my time had gone as quickly as this little video suggests.

Vacation Day 2

August 11, 2009

Today was day two of our little trip down to St. Louis.  Here are some highlights of my day.

I woke up and relaxed for a while in my PJs with my parents in their huge bed.  I was going to have a cup of coffee but then I realized coffee is gross…and I’m less than six months old.  I had some milk instead.

Next I headed out into the world of commerce.

There are so many amazing things at a wonderful place called…the mall.

Jack Month 6 196

Once we were done at the mall doing our usual looking but not buying (my parents call this window shopping…I call it stupid), we headed back to the pool to take a swim.

I had a blast!

Mom and Dad taught me all about pool safety, how to swim and how not to dive after shallow girls into the shallow end of the pool.

For a while there I was having an intense, Lion King moment…

…only to be interrupted by my goofy dad.

Eventually, I had to have a talk with the old man.

Jack Month 6 127

Then I said a little prayer for the poor guy.  It must be tough being that strange.

This one is for posterity.  My first ever shriveled up, post-swimming, raisin foot.

The rest of the day was spent lounging around at the hotel.

Jack Month 6 159

I did some light calisthenics.

Jack Month 6 164

Followed by some light hand munching before we headed to dinner with some friends.

Jack Month 6 174

We had a great time at dinner and I was ready to party afterward.

Jack Month 6 235

But my parents insisted we head to bed.

Jack Month 6 255

Now that I think about it, maybe I do need some sleep.  I’m feeling pretty loopy!

It’s been a crazy day!
